Forever Fit Foundation clients workout in a full-apparatus studio to develop strength, control and flexibility using Joseph Pilates' repertoire of more than 500 exercises that can be performed on the apparatus or the mat in private, duet or group sessions. Pilates strengthens the core and increases body awareness. In addition to being a key component to fitness, Pilates is an excellent rehabilitation system for back , knee, hip, shoulder and repetitive stress injuries.

PILATES TRAINING OPTIONS:

- Mat class is the essence of Pilates training. It strengthens and stablizes the torso, lengthens the spine and improves flexibility and posture. Class exercises and sequences can be modified to accommodate beginners and experienced Pilates practitioners. Small apparatus, such as balls, ring and foam roller may be incorporated into the session.

- Group reformer classes enable small groups to train on the reformer, a Pilates studio apparatus. The instructor guides students through exercises to develop focus, strength, flexibility, confidence and control.

- Tower classes bring students together on individual towers, or the Cadillac. This apparatus allows for variations and sequences to develop leg strength, flexibility, a stronger core and a more flexible spine.

- Private sessions, of course, are one-on-one, and may incorporate both mat and apparatus training under the watchful eyes of a certified trainer. The focus is developing proper technique with specific instructions just for you. These sessions offer an opportunity to discuss concerns with your trainer as you are peforming exercises.

- Duet sessions, perfect for couples, are two people working with one trainer.

Gyrotonic uses unconventional-looking apparatus to work major muscles groups both independently and in integrated movements without impact on the joints. The trainer guides the client through a series of gently movements to improve strength and range of motion. Gyrotonic is particularly useful for healing, helping the body rehabilitate through normal movement patterns.

The Gyrokinesis exercise system is related to Gyrotonic, a mat version and more. The client is led through a series of soft and undulating movements, either in private or group setting. While soft, the rhythmic sequential patterns involve the spine, breath work performed seated, standing and lying down. Gyrokinesis is based upon the best of swimming, dance, yoga and ancient healing traditions.

Yamuna Body Rolling offers massage and a a way to improve alignment by using different sizes of dense rubber balls to roll through the muscle, allowing you to release tension. This system is effective for athletes and for people with fibromyalgia, those in rehab for injury, people with osteoporosis and arthritis. The trainer guides the client through specific motions, and most people can see and feel improvement even in just one session.

Whatever your fitness goal, our highly experienced personal trainers will help you achieve it and more. Personal training is a one-on-one experience, and we have a variety of techniques and equipment to maximize your time and effort. We also provide you with dietary guidelines and help you monitor the nutritional component of your training. Forever Fit Foundation trainers can design sessions that incorporate strength and flexibility components as well as core conditioning. We also offer duet training sessions as well.

MAT is not a training system, but rather a hands-on approach by a certified practitioner that corrects muscle imbalance in your body. Improperly functioning muscles can result not only from injury, but also from stress and lack of proper conditioning. Whatever the cause, an alteration in your neuromuscular patterns can create pain and the inability to perform daily functional activities. The practitioner monitors your muscles to restore their ability to work efficiently, relieving aches, pains and physical stress.

Ki-Hara combines the best of ancient Thai massage with strength training and core conditioning to release tension in the muscles by using a "mashing" motion to strip them of toxins and lactic acid. When tired muscles are replenished with fresh blood and oxygen, the whole body is dynamically strengthened. In addition, you will be come stronger and experience increased range of motion. Athletes find that resistance stretching improves performance because the muscles become more stable and explosive

There is nothing quite like a massage to enhance or restore the feeling of well being. Massage has its roots in many ancient cultures, and today's world of exercise science embraces more than 80 types of massage techniques. At Forever Fit Foundation, this form of bodywork is a powerful adjunct to a Pilates practice or an athletic training session. Massage therapy can be adjusted to each client's individual needs.

A life coach is able to offer professional assistance as you identify your goals, and then as you develop a plan to help you achieve those goals using a variety of techniques. A life coach does not provide answers, but helps you explore ways to maximize your healthy lifestyle choices. Sometimes all it takes is a little guidance to remove perceived obstacles. A simple shift in perspective often puts clients on the road to success, not only in their exercise program but in their lives.

Policies

Appointments are scheduled and paid for in advance. A retainer fee equal to one session secures your appointment and will be applied to a late cancellation of less than 24 hours notice. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Debit cards and personal checks. (There will be a $35.00 return check fee on all returned checks.) Fees and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Adequate cancellation notice is 24 hours prior to your appointment so that you may reschedule without a charge. Sessions and training packages expire 90 days after purchase. We strive to accommodate your preference of a trainer. We cannot guarantee your request can always be met. We reserve the right to cancel any group class due to lack of attendance.
